This is one of my favorite paintings and is the piece that inspired the “Feathers & Scales” collection. I had always loved painting birds, but this piece brought together multiple subjects I had been both painting and photographing. From birds to dragons to butterflies, I get immersed in the details of feathers and scales.
This piece is a selected work in the Texas Association of Schools of Art Artovation Student Show 2022.
